Beautifully appointed, serene, high quality furniture and decorations throughout. The STAFF is without peer - the kindest, most thoughtful hotel staff I have ever met. They helped make the hotel feel like home away from home, and also provided excellent suggestions for nearby UnSun, restaurants and making reservations, temples, art galleries and souvenir shops. No detail is overlooked in the service and room design. I simply do not think I can stay anywhere else in Kyoto in the future. Wonderful and first-rate food, a boutique hotel with a few number of rooms which helps to keep the quality of service high. Everything felt custom made and tailored for us to have the most enjoyable experience possible. I cannot say enough about what the phone I’ll tell the citizens and what a wonderful memory they helped us to create. A warm thank you to all the staff at the front desk, housekeeping and the restaurant. 誠にありがとうございました！

This hotel is exceptional, from the staff, to the design and decor, and the fabulous rooms. It is well located for an easy walk or train to many of Kyoto's tourist sites. The 10 course degustation dinner at the hotel restaurant was amazing, as was the included breakfast. A special mention for the fabulous professional staff.

Everything about our stay was great. All of the staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant was fabulous, again the staff were perfect and the food was both unusual and delicious. The hotel was beautiful and encompassed traditional Japanese with modern. The management of the hotel was excellent.
